Tell me, please, what is "good" about it? I was raised Catholic and evolved into the heathen I am today. I know the story, but I'll be thirty three this year and the name of this day is still giving me a severe dose of the irrits. Think about it:
No meat. Why? Because its Good Friday.
No laughing. Why? Because its Good Friday.
No fun. Why? Because its Good Friday.
No games. Why? Because its Good Friday.
Nothing good. Why? Because its Good Friday.
Everything good closed for the day. Why? Because it's Good Friday.
How are all of those things good?
It should be called "Crap Friday".
Or "Boring Friday".
Or "Can't Wait For It To Not Be Friday".
Or how about "I'm Not A Catholic So I'll Just Treat This Day Like Any Other Friday"?
