It's become apparent to me that in the last few years I have developed a condition that I'd like to call "Vehiculus Irritatus".
The condition relates directly to the following vehicle-related triggers:
"My Family" stickers (no one cares that you have bred)
Frangipani stickers (I don't know why these annoy me. They just do)
Personalised number plates. (705SER)
Preachy bumper stickers. (God loves you even if you're a bad driver)
Red noses. (Cars don't have noses)
Reindeer antlers. (A car is not reindeer)
Red noses and reindeer antlers on the same car. (It doesn't matter what you put on your car, it will never, ever be Rudolph)
When a trigger is activated, I display certain unique characteristics including swearing, excessive sighing, aggressive sighing, excessive swearing, colourful language, filthy sentences that make no sense but feel great, occasional physical tantrums, grunting, WTFing, shrugging my shoulders and shaking my head in disbelief, and (my personal favourite) asking why over and over again but never being satisfied with the answer.
I am seeking help with my condition, along with my other condition that I like to call "Billboardus outofdatus" which relates directly to any and all billboards that are advertising events that have already been and gone.

A cold December day
On days like today I'm inclined to whine about the weather, but today I shall take a different path. What is there to whine about anyway? I mean it's 16 degrees on the 7th of December. In Brisbane. And it's raining, too. I haven't been outside yet because it's still dark even though it's 6.46am, but if I were to go outside I'd see our new grass flooding and feel big, fat, cold raindrops on my skin. Big, fat cold drops in the middle of summer. Big, fat, noisy, cold raindrops on my skin in the middle of summer in Brisbane on a 16 degree day. The best part of this weather is the new life that will follow when the heat returns. Canetoads as far as the eye can see, and those gorgeous baby mosquitoes that fly so quickly and bite so frequently and leave you itching for days.
This no whining thing has been much easier than anticipated.

That albino elf looks familiar...
One thing you really don't want to see when you look out of your hotel window from the bath is your own very clear, very naked reflection in the windows of the office block next door.
I thought the windows were tinted.
I thought wrong.
